Welcome to the Health Forum
Welcome to the web site of Bogside & Brandywell Health Forum. The Health Forum is a community-led health improvement project tasked with bringing together many different groups and agencies in order to enhance the health and well being of the people in the Bogside & Brandywell community and to reduce health inequalities.
The Health Forum was established as a Working Group in 1999 to assess the health needs of the greater Bogside & Brandywell neighbourhoods. The Working Group members were at that time drawn from a number of community organisations and from the statutory health sector. The result was "Sláinte Linne-Health In Our Hands" which was published in 2000.
We currently have six staff based in the Gasyard Centre who are responsible for a range of projects and programmes such as Foyle Tranquilliser Initiative (FTI), support for the Pink Ladies Breast Cancer Group, Grow Your Own Gardening and Families Achieving Change Together (FACT)
